Rather from paying an affiliate commission when a transaction is made or a form is submitted (as is the case with AffiliateWP), Signup Referrals pays an affiliate a flat-rate fee when the person they recommended completes a sign up. This usually happens when a user submits a form on your site and establishes a WordPress user account.
At the moment, Signup Referrals will create a referral in AffiliateWP if any of the following events occurs:
- The recommended user creates an affiliate account.
- A user creates an Easy Digital Downloads account.
- A user creates an account via WooCommerce.
- A user creates an account by completing a form using Gravity Forms and the User Registration add-on.
- A person creates an account via Ultimate Member.
- A user creates an account with UserPro.
Amounts of commissions per integration
Integrations are only visible if the corresponding plugins are installed. Similarly, when you activate an integration, a new amount field for that integration will appear. This enables you to customize the dollar amount associated with each integration!
For instance, it is very usual to use Easy Digital Downloads with Gravity Forms, or another combination of plugins. If you do not want to give any commission for signups, you may set the amount to 0; this will result in a $0.00 recommendation.
Status of referral
Referrals may be marked as pending or unpaid. For additional information, see Referral Statuses. This status will be applied to all referrals for signups (but not to regular/sale referrals).
Determine which affiliate introduced the new user.
The referring affiliate ID will be shown on the new affiliate's edit page in the admin for affiliate registrations.
